SouthShore Soldiers Announces 2007 Spring-Break Adult Snowboard / Ski Camp at Heavenly Resort in S Lake Tahoe

S Lake Tahoe, CA (PRWeb) February 16, 2007:SouthShores Soldiers Snowboard Camp (adult spring break) returns for a 6th consecutive season on its exclusive Soldiers Terrain Park at Heavenly Resort, S. Lake Tahoe, following its most heavily attended sessions in 2006. The three 2007 camp sessions will run for 4 days and 5 nights each, from 18 March through 2 April 2007. The private, world-class facility covers 2 entire trails with more than a half-mile of varied terrain features. It has something for everyone: from beginner jumps and rails, to fun intermediate features like boxes, kickers, and a 15-foot-high wall ride, to the 100' jumps you see in the videos and magazines - all of which comprise the training grounds for the weeklong sessions. Founded in 2002 by pro-snowboarder Jimmy Halopoff--former ESPN Winter X-Games and Vans Triple Crown of Snowboarding gold medal winner--and then competitive snowboarder, Rob Crosby, the adult snowboarding camp has received tremendous media exposure because of its unusual approach. Crosby explains, "The camp combines expert instruction with snowboarding pros in a fun, "spring-break" atmosphere that can get pretty crazy, especially at night!" The sessions focus on providing guests/"campers" the best private on-hill facilities, an experienced professional coaching staff, and a very active nightlife. The camp is geared towards adults 18 and over with day-camp packages open to all ages. The beneficial, positive, on-hill environment at camp allows each person to significantly improve their skiing or snowboarding ability. According to co-owner/co-founder Crosby, "whether you are a college student on Spring Break, an experienced shredder and carver, or a businessman on vacation, we make sure camp is equally enjoyable and beneficial for everyone, regardless of whether or not they have ever been on the slopes. Jimmy Halopoff points out that the school's professional coaching staff is one of the best around. Soldiers' Head Coach Ed McClain has produced nearly 20 USASA National Champions, 3 winter X-Games competitors, and 1 member of the '06 US Olympic Snowboard Team. Crosby adds, "our coaching program is designed to accommodate all riders, from first time beginners to experts. Coaching groups are kept small (about 4:1 campers to coach ratio) and based on ability and goals. With nightly video analysis, and a goal oriented approach, our coaching program is dedicated to helping each person achieve or surpass their own goals at camp."

LODGING:
Lodging is available at the Super 8 Motel located in the middle of S. Lake Tahoe, just one minute from the casinos, Heavenly Resort, fine dining, shopping, nightlife, etc. The camp is based out of the Super 8, where we have our private Soldiers Lounge, with video games, pool and foosball tables, video review, parties, etc.

Accommodations are standard hotel rooms with a balcony, cable tv, wireless internet access, etc. Prices range from $720-$769 depending on whether you prefer double, triple, or quad occupancy for your 5 nights stay.
