SoGoNow.com Travel Magazine is Blazing New Trails
Denver, CO (PRWeb) January 9, 2007 -- SoGoNow.com -- a pioneer in the on-line travel business -- passed another milestone today with the announcement of a major addition to the team.
Peter Rose, a Massachusetts-based writer, photographer, skier, sailor and inveterate traveler has accepted an invitation to become editor of the rapidly growing travel-oriented web magazine that is focused on inspiring travelers and tourists with ideas for their next vacation.
"SoGoNow.com fills a unique niche in the travel industry," according to Will Seccombe, President and founder of SoGoNow. "While most travel sites are focused on transactions, e.g. selling airline tickets, booking hotel rooms, joining cruises -- SoGoNow seeks to challenge readers with rich content and thousands of vacation ideas in articles about places to go and things to see, in this country and abroad.
"A frequent contributor to SoGoNow himself, Rose will be responsible for recruiting even more professional writers to contribute to the site and for maintaining the high quality and depth of content that has differentiated SoGoNow from so many on-line travel sites.
"With his extensive experience and passion for travel and travel writing, I have no doubt that Peter is the perfect person to help make SoGoNow the most exciting travel site on the internet," says Seccombe. "Peter's own knack for writing imaginative and engaging articles provides a model for our other writers. His commitment to clear and exciting exposition will serve SoGoNow and our growing audience of fellow travelers as well."
A retired professor of sociology, anthropology and American Studies and currently Senior Fellow of the Kahn Liberal Arts Institute at Smith College, Rose is the author of eight books, including "Guest Appearances and Other Travels in Time and Space," and is editor of fourteen others. He has taught, conducted research and been a visiting scholar at universities and study centers throughout the US and in the UK, Japan, Australia, China, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, and Scandinavia, lectured in over 40 other countries, and often written about his "extracurricular" activities at home and overseas in newspapers, magazines, and on-line "webzines."
Rose favors articles of 800-1200 words which combine vivid descriptions with personal insights into people and places as well as photographs and practical advice for fellow travelers.
Launched in March 2005 by Will Seccombe, president of Revolution Communications, SoGoNow.com hosts thousands of travelers every day. SoGoNow visitors are well educated, highly motivated and eager for new challenges. They love to travel and already have found SoGoNow.com to be a powerful travel planning resource.
Revolution Communications, LLC, is a Denver-based tourism marketing firm with eighteen years experience in travel marketing and advertising offering proven results from marketing plan development, interactive marketing, website development, advertising and sales strategy.
